Additional classes will be offered on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays on an ad hoc basis in preparation for local feiseanna, the New England Oireachtas, North American Nationals, World Championships, and other international competitions.

Class Descriptions
Pre-Beginner
A less structured class format for dancers ages 3.5 - 5 years old, focusing on coordination, balance, dance skill development, music recognition, and the building blocks of Irish step dancing. Dancers will learn basic reel and jig soft shoe steps, and we'll incorporates games to create a fun learning environment!
Beginner I and Beginner II
This class will focus on basic step dance skills, steps, and technique for those new to Irish dancing. Reel, jig, and slip jig soft shoe steps will be taught within the first year.
Advanced Beginner
These classes are for students who have received at least 1 year of Irish dance instruction from a certified teacher. Dancers will be taught more challenging light shoe steps and beginner hard shoe steps.
Novice I
This class is for students who have at least 1 year of hard shoe experience and/or have danced at feiseanna and placed as an advanced beginner.
Novice II, Prizewinner, and Preliminary Championship
Dancers who have completed at least 1 year of novice-level classes and/or have placed in all light and hard shoe dances at feiseanna as a first-year novice dancer, dancers having placed 1st in all novice dances at feiseanna, and dancers having placed 1st at least once in all four prizewinner dances at feiseanna are in this class.
Open Championship
Preliminary champions must achieve two 1st places at feiseanna to move to the open championship class. Regardless of level, soloists compete at the Oireachtas, and any other major championship, only with teacher's approval.
